Volcanoes, Hot Springs and Nasi Padang...

Wednesday, March 21, 2012 / , , ,

MynameisQUE;

Visited the famous Tangkuban Perahu at Bandung and I was seriously amazed by the beautiful scenery. It's not very often I get to be so close to a volcano. The wind was blowing like crazy and since I was wearing a dress, I had an embarassing Marilyn Monroe moment for a short 5 seconds. I was extremely embarassed, but what to do, in life you gotta be thick skinned so I pretended nothing happened.
Haha Right.

Here's also where there will be so many Indonesians trying to sell you their stuff and they'll follow you around until you buy something from them. Some might get very persistant, so just be nice and say you are not interested. There was a guy who begged my dad to buy a necklace from him and said that the money will be used for his lunch that day.... My dad sympathised and bought the necklace from him. It's quite sad actually...

Then we visited the hot springs not far from Tangkuban Perahu. I found it really cool but wasn't keen in dipping my feet. Haha errr.

Ice cream yum yum!

These puppets are called Mak Yong. Looks kinda freaky to me. :/

After visiting the hot spring, we went for lunch at a Padang restaurant. If you think Nasi Padang in Singapore is the bomb, then you should try the authentic Nasi Padang from Indonesia. Srlyyyyyy.

Restoran Padang Sederhana Bandung
Jl.Setiabudhi no 167BandungJawa Barat

The food here wasn't really as tasty as I expected it to be, in fact, the restaurant really lived up to its name. Sederhana means average. The food wasn't fantastic, neither did it taste bad either. This isn't the end of my Day 2 of my Bandung trip, because I'm breaking this post into 2 different posts!
