Dear 14 year old me.....

Tuesday, November 8, 2011 / , , ,

Dear 14 year old me, there are some things i'm going to tell you.
Keep them in mind as you turn older. Hopefully, you will be a better me.

People tell you that you are too young to fall in love, but i beg to differ. Perhaps, they just mean you're too young to be serious about any relationship. You're young but that doesn't mean you should not love. Love teaches you to be patient, kind, accepting and it will make you a better person if you fall in love with someone nice too.

At this point in time and in the years to come, you'll get extremely agitated because you feel that no one cares. Not even your parents. But you're wrong. I do care, and so does mummy and daddy. You'll feel that they don't understand you at all. Thing is, they don't. It's their first time handling a teenage daughter and it doesn't help that you're mischievous and curious. The way they see things is not the same as the way they see things. As much as you disagree with them, remember that no matter what you are always their daughter. They are trying their best, but it doesn't mean that they're perfect parents. No one is. You need to stop blaming them.

You're about to get to know a guy who is a year older, extremely playful, however he will change your life and make you a better person. This time, don't lie about who you are. Years down the road, you'll realise that to him, you're special the way you are. Care and try to understand him better. He will make a huge impact in your life. At the end of the day, the chances of ending up with him
Is slim because he's not ready to tie himself down just because of love, so enjoy his company while you still can. I'm sure you're wondering what's his name. I'll give you a clue and it starts with A.

On a lighter note, your relationship with your parents will improve over the years whether you believe it or not. Although they don't say it very often, know that they'll always love you. You'll get into your dream course and a good polytechnic after your O's. I would never change a thing about that because that's where you'll meet very interesting individual. Haha some are annoyingly flambuoyant and on the other hand, some down to earth and real.

What?! No tips about boys? Haha well all i can say is, don't fall in love too easily. You can care about someone, but that doesn't mean you love them. Most ot the guys you meet are gonna be assholes anyway, so everytime they whisper something sweet in your ear, know that they're all really sweet nothings. There will be guys who think that just because they got hurt by some other bitch, they have the right to hurt you. Don't let them take advantage of you. Really. In fact, if you hve the chance teach them a lesson. Revenge is sweet. ;)

At the end of the day, as you lie down and reflect on your life, you'll realise that the only person you have is yourself. So, start loving and accepting yourself the way you are. You don't fit in. Never will. But that doesn't mean you're an alien or something. You're extremely special. The society will give you weird looks. Most people are going to give you a hard time so that they can feel better about themselves. They'll look down on you, call you names and say things that will hurt you.
They'll torment you. They'll use the F word on you. What word? It's FAT. Repeat it to yourself.

The more you accept the term, the less power it has to hurt you.

In another 2 years, you'll meet boys who purposely broke a chair and place it at your place, hoping you'll sit on it and fall down. Don't be nice to them. When people are mean, plan revenge. They're the same boys that smoke outside school. You're on good terms with the OM right? Pautoh and that'll be your revenge.

Keep your head help high. Before you start loving someone else, love yourself.
Well, that's all for now.Take care.

You're in for a wild ride.

19 year old you.
