I'm sure many of us have been watching this
show on Suria every Saturday and Sunday.
Yes, Cinta Ixora is definitely, very addictive.

What's not to like?
Its stars are new and very fresh faces.
5 very pretty girls and 4 very cute boys. Heheh.
Of course, yours truly definitely enjoyed seeing Syarif Sleeq
getting angry. Hehehe HOT HOT HEAT.
And there's also Haizad Imran!
Unfortunately, he plays a psycho and
his acting is very convincing.
Apparently working at the Institute of Mental Health
(well that's what everyone says)
really helped his acting alot. :P
He must have observed his patients.

Not only is the theme song very catchy, Suria definitely hit jackpot
by getting these new talents as the MAIN CHARACTERS of the show.
And almost every Saturday and Sunday night, #CintaIxora is being
tweeted about! Everyone's talking about it.
Everyone's watching it.
Very good tactic huh?

However, I really felt that the ending of Cinta Ixora was a bit over dramatic.
The story line of the show was very questionable at times.
Sometimes, it just doesn't make sense.
I believe dramas have to portray something real and believable
yet at the same time, entertaining.
Yes, its a pretty hard job to do that, but I believe
whoever wrote the plot could have done much better in planning the drama.
Hahaha saying is so easy. :P

Think about it, the last two episodes were so overly tragic
and in the end, 2 people died and 1 disappeared.
What kind of logic is that?
That part, was really horrendous.
It was soooo unbelievable and fake.

The part when Martina was worried about getting pregnant.
She bought the pregnancy kit and once she knew she wasn't pregnant,
she kept the kit in her drawer.
What kind of logic is that?
A typical teenage drama scene would show the teenager
throwing the pregnancy kit into the bin in the toilet.
I believe its human nature.
Why keep the kit if she isn't pregnant?

And all of a sudden, she undergoes counselling
and changes drastically.
That is one thing, I couldn't stop laughing about.
Let's be realistic, which teenager in the right mind would
change just because she got reprimanded by her parents?

The last 2 episodes showed Martina getting together with Farhan.
Things were okay and suddenly they broke up after
Martina told Farhan that she isn't a virgin anymore.
Martina said something along the line,
"Farhan, you're just too good for me".
OMG, and this Farhan bodoh bin bahlol accepted the break up
and continued to befriend Martina as usual.
Eh come on lah, if you really love someone,
is it really important for her to be a virgin?
Its not as if she slept with someone else behind your back.
And what's most ironic is that, before Martina told him the truth,
Farhan held her hands saying this.

"No matter who you are, no matter what you've done,
I'll always love you".

Well, the plot could have been better.
Too bad the people behind Cinta Ixora couldn't forsee the success of the drama.
Cos if they did, they wouldn't have 2 of the characters dying,
so that there will be a season 2 of the show.
However, I might be wrong.
Who knows they'll come out with something cliche like
the 2 characters not dying or something.
Well, only time will tell.

But other than that, I believe Cinta Ixora was a good effort to
showcase our new and fresh talents. :)
Thumbs up!

And if there IS a Season 2, keep the cute faces.
but please please make things abit more real this time?
