I'm sure you know about the PRIORITY SEATS
But how many of us abide to this so called, "rule"?

Photobucket

SO HOW MANY OF US REALLY GIVE UP OUR SEATS
TO PEOPLE WHO ARE OLD, HAVE CHILDREN AND
WOMEN WHO ARE PREGNANT?

Definitely NOT ME.
Here's my reason why.

Imagine waking up at 5 for an 8 am class.
Not only that, residing in the east, and having school in the west.
That is what i go through on some days.
From Tampines, I'll take the train to Pasir Ris and
bounce all the way to Dover *boing boing*
& the journey takes about 45 minutes to an hour.
So, I'll just spend the rest of my time....
Yes. Sleeping.

Who wants to sit at the seats with NO side rest?
I mean the glass panels which you can lean on.
Certainly,NOT ME.

I'm sure you too are guilty of seating at the prority seats
AS MUCH AS I AM.
Come on, the prioity seats are soooo comfortable.
You can rest your head at the glass panels!
Everytime i seat at the normal seats and fall asleep,
I'll end up tilting my body to the person beside,
and making myself embarassed!!!!!!

But guess what?
Soulja Boy told me about the time he actually
told some guy off for pretending to sleep
so that he can ignore the old woman in front of him who
needs the seat more than him.
Wow. I was shocked.
In fact, amazed at how righteous he is.
Like who in the right mind would bother to tell someone off
JUST BECAUSE OF A PRIORITY SEAT.
I would, but because i was guilty too.....
Maybe not. :P heeheee!

And guess what?
A day after that conversation, he inspired me to give up my seat to this old man.
You know how proud I was of myself?
You knowww?!!!!
:D I felt so good!
Not only me, remember Maressa?
The one on the first few episodes of Singapore Idol
who was eliminated and was rooting her good friend Jannah.
She also felt the satisfaction that i felt!

& I found out that Singapore is one of the
LEAST POLITE COUTRIES IN THE WORLD!
So Soulja Boy, you said you were amazed that Singapore is ranked as
one of the most COURTEOUS countries in the world,
YOU WERE WRONG!
*Nannynannypootpoot!*

No wonder our government has to come up
with such campaigns and mascots like
the COURTESY CAMPAIGNS AND THE COURTESY LION!
Photobucket

The aim of the Campaign was to create a pleasant social environment with Singaporeans considerate to each other and thoughtful of each other's needs
Now, as we ALL know, we have our favourite contractor
who has since "moved" to Malaysia,
as our 'mascot' on public transports to remind us
that we should give up our seat to those who need it more.

Here's Rosy with her signature HAIRDO.
Sidetrack abit, since AMK has a problem with minahs with
"high rised" kenings, why not make anti rambut tinggi or sth?
Okay, you may ignore me.

To end it off, here's our favourite shakebutt video!
A HAPPY JOURNEY STARTS LIKE THAT!

All I'm trying to say is that we Singaporeans should
learn how to be more selfless and less selfish.
The satisfaction that you'll feel after that, I promise you,
IS PRICELESS!
